About the event
Step away from the noise and into nature with this research-based, guided forest bathing experience.
Forest bathing (shinrin-yoku) is not a hike — it's a slow, intentional sensory walk designed to help you deeply connect with the natural world around you. Studies show it reduces cortisol, lowers blood pressure, boosts immune function, and improves mood and creativity.
Our journey begins in Hartley Wood at the Arboretum at Penn State, where you'll be guided through a series of sensory invitations — noticing textures, sounds, scents, and the gentle rhythms of the forest. No fitness level required; this is about presence, not pace.
Afterward, we'll gather at Sunset Park for reflection, connection, and a light picnic-style snack. This is the kind of evening that refills your cup — body, mind, and spirit.
This event is part of the Wellness Collective's "Experience" programming, where we don't just talk about wellness — we live…
